We are committed to holding our membership at a manageable number. Because of our smaller numbers, NTPWA members are expected to participate on all levels: read and critique, support of special activities such as editor/agent visits, and to serve as needed on committees. You should be aware that, according to our By-laws, failure to participate can result in your being asked to step aside to make room for a working writer. NTPWA By-laws permit applicants to reapply in six months should they desire to do so.

Please be aware that a number of circumstances may affect your acceptance or rejection at this particular time. A rejection is not meant to imply any lack of polish or professionalism in your work. As a small group, NTPWA strives to maintain a balance of writing experience and genre types as well as other factors. Any or all of these may be considered.
