ATTENTION: WINNERS
The NTPWA 2007 Contest winners chapbook will be produced electronically for the first time. Those winners with email will be notified to submit their winning entries via email attachment in MSWord, WordPerfect, or RTF document file format. All other winners will be contacted via regular mail.
The chapbook will be produced with professional typesetting and custom design cover art in PDF format and will be available for free download from a private link provided online. Or if preferred, on CD for a shipping and handling charge of $5.00.

Short Story: Any genre. Maximum length 2500 words.
Poetry: Single spaced. Each poem no more than 24 lines.
First Chapter: Any genre. First chapter of novel length work. Maximum length 20 pages, plus 1 page synopsis.
Elsie Wickfielder Humorous Essay: Maximum length 1500 words.
One Entry Fee: $15.00 allows four (4) submissions; one per category. Workshop participants may submit up to four (4) submissions; one per category for the $30.00 workshop fee.
Contest submissions must be original and unpublished in any media.
Extreme sexual material and pornography will not be considered.
NTPWA members may not enter.
Important! Name and address should appear on cover sheet only. Include title on cover sheet and on each manuscript page. All entries must be typed, double spaced (single space poetry submissions) and prepared in standard manuscript format at 10 or 12 pt. Failure to follow the guidelines will result in disqualification. Manuscripts will not be returned. Enclose business SASE for limited critique.
If too few entries are received in a category, NTPWA reserves the right to eliminate that category.
A panel of published writers will serve as judges. The decisions of the judges are final.
Winners need not be present at our seminar; winners will be announced March 24, 2007 at the NTPWA seminar and posted on our website.

1st Place $100, 2nd Place $65, 3rd Place $35.

Entering this contest serves as permission to publish winning work in NTPWA's Annual Contest Chapbook commissioned and illustrated by members. Winners will be asked to submit work in electronic format. All rights revert to the author on publication.
